Tait Electronics, Ltd, is a Christchurch company which has gained a world-wide reputation for its range of mobile and base radiotelephones.
In the face of international competition. Tait has won major contracts in New Zealand. Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom. throughout the Pacific Islands as well as many other countries.
Designed and manufactured in Christchurch, the range of Tait Miniphones has an outstanding reputation for reliability, consistently high performance and. above all, for versatility.
All Tait Miniphones feature a unique “plug-in” facility which -allows the basic tranceiver to be converted from vehicle mobile to portable, to base unit in seconds. This plug-in feature
offers considerable advantages to any organisation as it allows maximum utilisation of each unit.
The many advanced design features of the Tait Miniphones have been recognised by the New Zealand Design Council which awarded Tait Electronics the Designmark — an internationally-recog-nised symbol of merit for outstanding design, innovation and technology. The company’s* own research and development team is involved in a continual programme to develop new circuit designs and to search specifications worldwide to ensure that Tait equipment incorporates the very latest advances in circuitry design and maintains its international acceptance. To date. Tait has produced more than 70,000 radiotelephones which are in use around the world.
