Resource zones designated
Parliamentary reporter Four regi.ns, including the West Coast, have been designated as rural resources development zones by the Minister in charge of the Rural Banking and Finance Corporation (Mr Maclntyre). The zones scheme was announced in the Budget. The West Coast region will comprise Westland, Greymouth, Inangahua, and Buller. , ■ ,
The three other regions are Northland, King Country, and East Coast (North bland). . . Mr Maclntyre said that the scheme in the designated areas would be reviewed, to determine whether any changes wete . necessary, after an appropriate period after its introduction on November 1.
