Students elect new president
A third-year history student has been elected as the new president of the Canterbury University Students’ Association. Mr Steven Ferguson, aged 21. will take office next year. Mr Ferguson won the’election. held last Thursday, by the narrow margin of 11 votes. He has been the vicepresident of the association
for the last two years, with particular involvement in its management and budget affairs. This year’s president (Ms K. Amos) did not stand in the election. She said yesterday she felt one term was enough. It had been a "hatrowing experience." she said.
