The Government expects to spend $2283 million in the next 10 years on new elec-tricity-generating projects. To this capital-works programme should be added a further 25 per cent for the cost of associated transmission lines, sub-stations and so on. In the last 10 years, the capital-works programme for new electricity generation has cost $3'620 million.
