Improvements at T.H.C. Waitomo
Overseas visitors and New Zealanders alike will benefit from major changes introduced at the Tourist Hotel Corporation's Waitomo location. They have been designed to ensure that the hotel caters for all traveller categories — from budget conscious, through family groups to those seeking luxury.
As manager Carl Braddock sums up: "We've spent almost $250,000 in recent months to make sure that Waitomo as a whole benefits.
Hence, we’ve completely restructured our approach to marketing the hotel, the Waitomo Caves, and the area in general." The corporation has modernised and updated guest facilities. At the top end. the Aranui Suite is the ultimate in luxury, whilst retaining the charm which befits a building constructed in 1908. Sightseers on a strictly limited budget have not been overlooked either — "no frills" accommodation costs just $5 a night.
Today's travel pages include no touragram because one appeared in our special Southern Lakes feature on July 23. This contest does not close until August 10.
