Wanganui loses top player
PA Wanganui Wanganui will be minus its flanker, Bruce Middleton, for the match against South Africa next Wednesday. Middleton. who is still recovering from influenza picked up during the interisland match at Dunedin, has
spent most of the time since • then in bed, and was not considered for the Springbok game by the sole selectorcoach Jim Wallace. Wanganui, as was the case against Hawke’s Bay last week, will be led by the former All Black trialist and ex-Wanganui and Waikato
captain Ray Stafford, a veteran of more than 100 firstclass games. Middleton is the only topliner missing from the Wanganui team. The side to play South Africa at Spriggens Park next Wednesday is:—
