Maori nominations
Eleven Canterbury Maori rugby players have been nominated for positions in the Southern zone team to meet the Northern Zone for the Prince of Wales Cup at Pukekohe on August 19. The players are: Vic Simpson, Mar’dy Vincent, Paul Karena, Dale Atkins, Peter McLaren, Mike Franson, Na Katae, Bill Bush, Rue Koha, John Mika and Matt Wilson. Simpson and Vincent have both been nominated as centres and Atkins and McLaren for the No. 8 position.
