N.Z.-bred’s success

NZPA Hong Kong Macau's first Miracle Mile was won by the New Zea-land-bred Adover Lustre (Adover Rainbow—True Lustre) in 2min 1.2 s at the Taipa Raceway on Saturday evening.

Adover Lustre took the lead with less than 500 m remaining and finished two lengths clear of the fast finishing S.T. Dupont. The New Zealand-bred Beaudene (Estes Minbar—Zoleine) was' a further half a length away, third.

The meeting marked the start of the Macau Trotting Club's second season. The Miracle Mile carried stakes of just over SNZI2.OOO, with $6OO bonuses for the leading horses at each quar-ter-mile marker. .
