Bright Flight put down
Bright Flight’s career ended tragically at Riccarton on Saturday. The Zamazaan eight-year-old faltered and was pulled up soon after jumping “Jumbo,*’ the fifth fence on the first round in the Grand National Steeplechase. An examination disclosed that the horse had fractured his near-fore sesamoid bone. He was humanely put down. Last season’s Otago Hunt Cup winner had been prepared for his Otago owner, Mr lan Bright, by John and Bob Heasley at Wingatui. kurrac.mon -
