Britain’s heaviest motorist is seen taking driving lessons in the quiet lanes of the Northamptonshire countryside. Ihe jumbo driver has a specially adapted Land Rover which he will “drive” in a circus as the star attraction.To cope with the animal’s enormous weight the Land Rover was rebuilt. The elephant is not a very reliable driver, so all the controls, and the steering wheel have been put underneath the seat where the co-driver sits with a view of the road between the elephant’s legs.
