Only a few shots left
Mr Barry Dunn, of Christchurch, a medical representative with Kempthorne Medical Supplies, Ltd, with a vial x of the last supply of influenza vaccine <o be imported this year. Only 10 vials, containing
100 doses, are left from the shipment, which arrived on Tuesday, for general practitioners in the South Island. The vaccine has been specially developed to combat the three types of influenza expected to affect New Zealanders this year.
Mr Dunn said that a prediction of the amount of the vaccine required had to be made each October, when orders had to be placed with the Australian manufacturer of “Influvac.” The demand this year had been heavier than for the last three years.
