Government of Papua New Guinea - — The Department of The P r ' me Minister AVIATION OPPORTUNITIES Applications are called for the following positions in the Flying Unit of the Department: Superintendent - LEVEL 23 The appointee will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Government Flying Unit and the efficient operation of the V.I.P. aircrafts. The appointee must have extensive experience in the aviation industry, in particular, the administration and operations of an airline. Having held a Senior Commercial Pilot Licence with First Class Instrument rating (or equivalent qualifications) and a thorough knowledge of Civil Aviation regulations are desirable. A . Training Pilot Gil - LEVEL 20 The appointee wil| be required to supervise ICUS Flying and carry out line checks in the Grumman II and prepare appropriate training reports as and when required. Act as pilot of the Grumman.il. Flight Officer Gil - LEVEL 17 The appointee will act as co-prlot of the Grumman II and carry out other duties as directed. The appointees for both Training Pilot and Flight Officer must hold a current Senior Commercial pilot licence with a first class instrument rating. Extensive check and training experience on multi-engine turbine aircraft (both IFRandVFR) including instrument rating, andafullC.AO.2B dispensation desirable. AIRCRAFT ENGINEERS: Chief Engineer - LEVEL 20 The appointee will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Engineering and maintenance section. Plan maintenance schedules and programmes to’ensure maximum aircraft serviceability consistent' with operational requirements and ensure compliance with C.AO. requirements. Supervise the maintenance and certification of.the Government aircrafts and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with-Civil Aviation Regulations and Orders. - ? Engineer (2 positions) - LEVEL 19 The appointees-will'maintain and supervise the maintenance of the: Government aircrafts as directed by the Chief Engineer. They will certify the maintenanceon the Government aircrafts in the categories listed and ■ assist in maintaining aircraft records. It is essential that the appointees for the above engineering positions must have had extensive experience in the maintenance of modern aircrafts. Possession of a current Papua New Guinea aircraft maintenance Engineer Licence in Group 3. endorsed for Beechcraft 200 and Grumman ll aircrafts in the following categories: engines, air frames, instruments and electrical- desirable. It is also desirable to have a.knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations and Orders. Salary Salary Level Salary p.a. ’Gratuity p.a. Approx.
