The New Zealarid'shafemarket began the short trading week, on a mixed, moderately busy note yesterdav. In spite of the N.Z.U.C. index s gaining a further 2.26 points, market leaders, including Alex. Harvey. Dalgety New Zealand. N.Z. Forest Products, and U.E.8.. were prominent in the tails. Southland Frozen Meat stood out on a 20c gain to 290 c. Others to improve included Brierley, Carter Holt/ Feltex, Fisher and Paykel. Fletcher Challenge, arid National Insurance.' Fountain fell 20c to 100 c after reporting thatit was again in' the red. .
