British TV star for Telethon

A British television entertainer. Marti Caine, who has been in South Africa making her first film, “Birds of a feather,” will visit New Zealand to be a host on Telethon on June 27. She has her own show on British television and a sixweek series finished recently on 8.8.C.2.
■ At 19, married with two children, she began dancing, singing, and telling jokes to make ends meet, and eventually won the “New Faces” television series which launched her. career as an entertainer.
