Trials golf squad
Jan Arnold of Matamata has joined seven of the players who were in the inter-island match at Shirley to complete a squad of eight women golfers, for the final New Zealand, trials at Gisborne on June 20 and 21. From this squad a team of five will be selected to represent New Zealand in the Tasman Cup match with
Australia at Southport in July. At Gisborne the players will have four rounds, of par bogey golf against the card. The players in the squad are: Arnold, L. Douglas, C. Hingham, K. Maxwell, D. Randell, B. Rhodes, J. Scandrett and K. Young. The reserve is J. Glanfield. Mrs S. Bishop of Canterbury was not available for selection.
