East Coast outclassed
PA Gisborne After leading 19-0 at halftime Poverty Bay defeated East Coast, 48-6, in a national championship game played at Gisborne yesterday. This was the one hundredth meeting between the two teams and Poverty Bay clearly outclassed the opposition. Its forwards won a lot of ball and the half-back, Phil Duncan, used it well, with his three-quarters scoring seven of the 10 tries.
