Easy squash wins
PA Tauranga Top seeds, Stuart Davenport, of Havelock North, and Annette Owen, of Auckland, won their North Island squash titles comfortably when the tournament concluded in Tauranga yester-; day. Davenport lost his first game to Northern’s. Neven Barbour but from mid-way through the second game was always in control to
triumph 2-9, 9-3, 9-0, 9-1. In the women’s final, Miss Owen scored- her first. title win at the expense of the 17-year-old Rotorua- player, Susan Devoy,. 10-9, 9-5, 9-4. ■ Miss Owen led through the early stages of the firstgame but Miss Devoy fought back to actually hold , game point,; but a lack of confidence on the winning shot told against her.
