Auckland leads Rules

Auckland, the champions for four of the last five years, looks the firm favourite to win the national title of the New Zealand Australian Rules Football Competition today after the first round of competition. against Canterbury and Wellington: In the first match Wellington beat Canterbury 10 goals, 15 behinds, 75 points to six goals, six behinds, 42 points. Auckland will play Wellington today to decide the national champion.
