NZPA London Twenty - two acceptors have been announced for the English Derby Stakes to be run over one mile and four furlongs at Epsom on Wednesday (2.35 a.m. Thursday, New Zealand time). Acceptors with jockeys where available are: Al Nasr A. Gibert, Centurius E. Hide, Church Parade, W. Carson, Cocaine, Glint of Gold J. Matthias, Golden Brigadier P. Bradwell, Kalaglow G. Starkey, Kind of Mush S. Cauthen, King’s General B. Taylor, Krug B. Raymond, Lydian F. Head, Recitation (doubtful runner), Riberetto P. Eddery Robellino P. Cook, Sass J. Reid, Scintillating Air G. Baxter, Sheer Grit, Shergar W. R. Swinburn, Shotgun L. Piggott, Silver Season E. Johnson, Sunley Builds P. Waldron, Waverley Hall B. Crossley. The race is worth a total of £251,500 ($N.Z.592,360), of which the winning owner will receive £149,900
(£N.Z.351,640). Latest London betting is Evens Shergar, 10 - to - 1 Shotgun, 11-to-l; Glint of Gold 16-to-l; Al Nasr and Kalaglow, 20-to-l; Robellino, 25-to-1 Riberetto, 33-to-l Church Parade, Centurius and Sheer Grit, 50-to-l and upwards others.
