Mischief Maker looks set to complete a double for the Wellington Trotting Clubs Queen’s Birthday meeting when he lines up in the Cardiff Arms Handicap, first leg of the double today. The five-year-old was most impressive leading the last 2400 m of the corresponding race on Friday. He goes back 10m today for that success but that handicap should not stop him securing his fiftn win from his last seven starts. Owen Purdon will drive again. , . El Mac seems to be improving with each race and he looks the one to offer the most opposition. Ninth firstup two weeks back, he ran the race of a quick improver when fourth on Friday. ' Johnny Lincoln, second to Michief Maker on the first night, looks the best of the remainder. . The double is completed in the Harold Logan Pace. In this Adam’s Mate, a fastfinishing second to Aya Vandina on Friday looks the hardest to beat. Only a three-year-old, Adam’s Mate has had a fair bit of racing this season but has come through it in fine shape. La Cheval was an easy winner on Friday, never looking like being headed after reaching the lead in the early stages of her race. She moves up a grade today and has a second - row draw to contend with, but looks most promising. Chippie failed to get close on the first night but a frontrow draw today could see quick improvement in him. Of the others Wave Star ana Kotare Challenge went well enough on Friday to be respected again today. Selections:—
