Sailings reduced

PA Wellington Cook Strait ferry services will be reduced during the holiday week-end because of low bookings. The Railways Department has cancelled four sailings of the Aratika — the 4 p.m. Wellington to Picton sailingand the 8 p.m. Picton to Wellington sailing both today and tomorrow.

A Railways spokesman said that there had only been light bookings for the four sailings and these could be accommodated in other ferries.

Space was still available in the. ferries, although the 2.20 p.m. Picton to Wellington sailing on Monday was fqlly booked.
