Special correspondent Palmerston North Kaitoa galloped strongly in the fog at Woodville ■yesterday morning in preparation for the Suzuki Handicap at Wanganui tomorrow. Very few gallops could be timed in a quiet morning. Fast work took place on the inside of the course proper, which was soft. Kaitoa and Royonah worked together over 1000 m in Imin 5.25; Kaitoa was one of the best workers on Tuesday, and will line up fit at Wanganui. Royonah, a chance in the Cameron Handicap. Schinkenhager ran 1600 m, taking Imin 36.7 s for the last 1400 m. She is in the O’Neill Handicap and should show up well. Steeplechaser Mythical Dream went 1600 m in Imin 55s while Discretion was clocked over the last 600 m in 38s.
