Addington market Strong competition for adult store cattle
j ■ Local graziers and one freezing company competed freely for •he adult store cattle yarded at Addington market yesterday. Adult cattle sold very freely and some high prices were paid for the best of the 2’i-year steers offered. c Cows also, sold easily and Jfalues increased because of the /ample competition. § A feature, of the-sale was an entrv of Chianina cattle from A. Edge, (Cheviot). ’ His steers 'went to $4OO. cows to $3OO and Seifers to $312. Mainly tussock/ bred calves swere yarded-jand these sold at values similar to last: week. Values for better calves*.'imiproved slightly.
