N.Z. firms win contract on island
PA Wellington Two New Zealand consulting engineering firms wil’ design and supervise the first stage of a $5O million bridge and roading works programme on the island of Bougainville, Solomon Islands.
Murray North International and Fraser Thomas Partners were chosen from 16 tenders from the .Unitea Kingdom, Australia. New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, to build between 40 and 60 bridges and 500 kilometres of rural roading.
Field investigations and survey work will begin immediately.
