Farmhand killed in horse fall
FA Wanganui A farmhand was killed and her young daughter is in Wanganui Base Hospital after an apparent fall from a horse yesterday. The dead woman was
Jacqueline Karen McCracken, aged 2.3, of Waitotara Valiev.
The police said last evening that Mrs McCracken was mustering sheep on Ngamatapouri station yesterday with her daughter, aged three and a half, also mounted on the horse.
A helicopter was called, but Mrs McCracken was dead on arrival at hospital. The child was admitted to hospital for observation.
