' Smash A and Cobb and Co. provided the highlight of the men’s A grade volleyball competition in the Pioneer Stadium last Sunday. After a fluctuating battle. Smash won, 3-2, with Paul Kuipers and Mike Wessels spiking effectively. University showed its strength, both its men’s and women’s teams beating Teachers' College. 5-0. Results:— Men.-Smash 3. Cobb and Co. 2; Aranui Old Boys 3. Shirley Boys’ High School '(J: University A 5. Teachers’ College 0. Women.—Smash 3. Christchurch Girls’ High School 0; Avonside High 3, University B 1; University A 5. Teachers’ College 0; Aranui 4, Cobb and Co. 0.
