Big bowls pairs entry
Some 260 teams, will contest the Tenderkist Canterbury indoor bowls pairs championship; at the Kearneys Road Hall this weekend. Fate has decreed that last year’s winner, Noeline Burrows, has drawn the • same section as the runnerup, Verri Norris, and they will meet in
the last qualifying round. Most of the 52 sections look . fairly even, but one which should produce some tight games is that containing the two South Island nominees, Bev Tomlinson and Frank Chapman. The other skips are Trevor Boone, Tom Clark and Leo Ashley.
