Dance convention
More- than 450 square dance fans from throughout New Zealand will come to Christchurch at the end of this month. The occasion is the fifteenth National Square and Round Dance Convention at the Aranui High School gymnasium on May 29,30 and 31. Evening sessions, from 8 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., will be held on all three days. Afternoon sessions, from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., will be held on May 30 and 31. The convention will be opened by Christchurch’s Deputy Mayor, Mr Rex Lester, at 8.15 p.m. on May 30.
