Labour honours retiring M.P.s

ton was the member for Roskill and former Minister of Labour and Defence, Mr A. J. Faulkner. Also on the platform were the members for Napier, Mr G. Christie, and for Eastern Maori, Mr P. B. Rewiti. All received a gold badge for outstanding service and life membership of the party. The president of the party, Mr J. P. Anderton, said other retiring MPs not present at the conference, among them a former Minister of Overseas Trade, Mr J. A. Walding, and a former Minister of Housing, Mr W. A. Fraser, would be similarly honoured.
