Desk-top photocopier

One of the latest in plain paper photocopiers is the desk-top-type, U-Bix T. This compact, small drytype copier weighs only about 50kg and is claimed by its Japanese makers to be as reliable as the big machines that have preceded it in the field.

It is also quieter running and the stabi’ity of the image is said to be so good that toner adjustment is almost unnecessary.

Along with better fixing of the image, this stability has been achieved by means of a monocomponent toner and a heat roller. Together, these result in images that neither blot nor fade and clear, crisp copies that are long-lasting. Copy paper absorbs moisture when humidity is high and this works against obtaining clear, well fixed images by the' electrostatic photo transfer system. To

counter this problem the UBix T has a built-in heater so clear, crisp copies are obtained regardless of the season or w’eather.

Simplicity is the keynote of the U-Bix T operation. The required copy quantity is set on the dial — then just press the button. Copy density adjustment, when required, involves only a touch on a single lever. The U-Bix T design has shortened the copy paper path, reducing the first copy time to only six seconds for A 4 size paper. The warm-up time is only one minute, copy speed is nine copies per minute and paper feed is automatic. A tray on which to arrange originals or copies is provided to the of the main frame.
