Man found guilty
After deliberating for five hours, a jury in the High Court last evening found John Perkovic, aged 50, a prison inmate, guilty on two charges of using a forged savings bank passbook to obtain money and on a charge of false pretence. Mr Justice Hardie Boys remanded Perkovic in custody to May 27 for sentence, and ordered that a psychiatric report be obtained on him.
