Walking title retained
NZPA London Mike Parker, of New Zealand, retained his British national 20-kilometre walking title at the United Kingdom championships at Kenilworth at the week-end. Parker, who has competed in Britain for several sea-
sons, won in fluent style in a comfortable 91 minutes and eight seconds. Competing for his Brighton and Hove Club, he was more than a minute ahead of York's David Jackson (92:28) with Enfield’s Alan Seddon (92:36) in third place.
