PA Masterton National Service will be introduced if the Wellington division of the National Parts' has its way. The division’s week-end conference at Masterton carried a remit from the Wairarapa branch tha; “a period of National Service be introduced for school leaver'’, to include both military training and jobrelated technical training.” Proposing the remit, Mr Terry Donaldson said National Service would promnto mntiva-
tion” and enable the young to share their ex- j periences. Training, he said, would not only be military and candidates would be able to opt for a variety of courses. . Mr Donaldson suggested Waiouru and Burnham military camps as sites for military training. The Outward Bound school at Anakiwa could also be brought into the scheme.
