Firm N.Z. market
The New Zealand sharemarket continued to trade past- the million-share mark on a firm note yesterday. Although N.Z. Forest Products eased 1c to 44c. its substantially higher yearly result and raised dividend had been anticipated by investors Other market leaders were markedly firmer, including the ANZ Bank Fletcher Challenge, and Yates Corporation. Henderson and Pollard rose 85c to 475 c in reaction to Feltex’s seeking a larger stake in the firm, and Pavroc reached the new Fulton Hogan offer price of 240 c. Winstone was active in reaction to the news of Government help for its joint-venture pulp mill.
