Call for casino
PA Masterton The Wellington divisional conference of the National Party has called on the Government to allow casinos in New Zealand. A Heretaunga delegate, Mrs Judy Robinson, introduced a remit to the conference advocating a casino with a conference room, restaurant, and accommodation as a drawcard for tourists. Using Tasmania’s Wrest Point casino as an example, she said that such a casino would be an asset to any city or tourist area. The remit was carried.
