Applicants need not be Indentured tradesmen but should have the ability to interpret plans specifications — prepare schedules of materials and carry out construction of commercial and cottage type works. As the carpenter is expected to work largely unsupervised an independent conscientious approach is important. The carpenter is covered by the Building and Related Industries Tradesmen Award. The wage offered is $209.88 gross per week. Other allowances paid are tool, industry', clothing and an annual bonus. Council will assist with household removal expenses if required.
