‘New’ Boeing arrives in N.Z.
The first of three Boeing 727 aircraft bought by the Royal New Zealand Air Force is shown after its arrival at Christchurch yes-
terday. It will be used as spare parts for the other twoaircraft,. which are due to arrive from the United States in July.
The two aircraft will suplement the Air Force’s Hercules fleet on long-range transport missions. They will be based at Auckland.
The aircraft to be used for spare parts will be flown to the R.N.Z.A.F. base at Woodbourne, near Blenheim. R.N.Z.A.F. aircrew have
begun a six-week 727 flight training course, in Denver, the home of United Airlines, from which the part-lifeair-craft were bought. '
