Beer price up again?
PA Wellington Beer prices, wjiich rose on May 1, may rise' again if an appeal by the Brewers’ Association against the level of the last increase is successful. The association has lodged an appeal with the Commerce Commission saying that the last price rise
was insufficient to recoup increased costs in the industry. ' A spokesman for the association said that the industry had been unable to absorb “considerable increases” in labour and other costs and that the May 1 price increase would not cover these costs.
