The test route was Christchwch to Christchisch m the Haatt Pass. The reedts confrmed bench tests. Uno ' Naw Zsstand made radio was impocstle by SpringfiaH and the rormhing New Zaeiend made one received Chnstehurdi only. The "Clarion'' and "Ten" appeared grretfy superior giving locai and Oinodm and Watt Coast Stations with eass whde travsfog. h was obvious that ths 'Teo" and "Qancn" were vastly superior. En route Hokitika te Haast it was poeabte to listen to 3YC and 4YC, white Brand X was good for the Watt Coast Station only. South of Fox a comprehenshn test was carried out. Brand X was capabia of uae on two Weat wen 20-odd stations was heard on both the "Ton” and "Clarion" brands. At Knights Point IZB Auckland was deoriy received along with many other stations. A later test was mads on a trip to the Egkngton Valey, with the Tim" and '"Orion" giving good rereptai. The Now Zealand made (Brand X), was drevded bereuM it was not just good enough. Those ndns in most eases cost less than the more famSr New Zaaiand made radios. ■>.
