Bluebird option
Following hard on the bumper of the Bluebird GX 1.6 litre, ZX 2.0 litre and GX Wagon, Datsun have just released a further Bluebird option — the 2.0 litre GX Sedan with four speed manual transmission. The 2.0 litre GX retains the Bluebird's looks but gives the added advantage of higher power. The price is $J2,695. With Datsuns recent expansion of its assembly capa-
city at Wiri, Nissan Executive and staff are confident that Bluebird will be the top seller in its class as it is in Japan. Recent figures from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers’ Association show that Bluebird is outselling its nearest competitor by more than 2 to 1. During January 10,062 Bluebirds were sold compared with 4088 Mitsubishi Sigmas, 4072 Toyota Coronas, 1847 Honda Accords, and 1427 Mazda 6265.
