Silver Lei wins
Silver Lei, the first foal of the great race mare Leilani, was 'an impressive winner against the two-year-olds at Moonee Valley last Saturday. A compact colt by Silver Dream, Silver Lei won the 1200 m race by two lengths. He is trained by Bart Cummings and was ridden by Harry White. Silver Lei was second in his first start at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day last October, then was put aside until the autumn.
