Special Pride to miss Rowe Cup
PA Auckland' Special. Pride is a notable absentee from this year’s nominations for the $35,000 Rowe Cup at Alexandra Park-on May 16. . Twelve months ago the brilliant Wellington trotter completely eclipsed her Rowe Cup rivals. The win realised a lifetime ambition for her trainer, Pat Harnett, who races the mare in partnership with his wife, Molly. From 18 appearances as a four-year-old, Special Pride recorded 10 wins, two secends and two thirds for $33,175 in stakes. Thir season, however, she has had a series of setbacks.
