La Varis adjournment
PA Auckland A motion to stay proceed, ings or dismiss a petition seeking to wind up a company belonging to the former National member of Parlia, ment for Taupo, Mr R. J, LaVaris, has been further adjourned to May 15 in the High Court at Auckland. Mr Justice Chilwell granted the adjournment, which was sought by the counsel for R. J. LaVaris, Ltd, Mr J. Witten-Hannah, oij the ground of illness which had prevented his adequately preparing his case. | Mr LaVaris will oppose; the petition, which has been brought under the .Bills of Exchange Act by Scholefield Goodman (N.Z.), Ltd, against R. J. LaVaris, Ltd, of Auckland.
