Gns to Fairy Footsteps
NZPA Newmarket Fairy Footsteps won the One Thousand Guineas, first of the five British racing classics, on Thursday.
Tolmi was second and Go Leasing third. Fourteen ran. The One Thousand Guineas is for three-year-old fillies and is raced over one mile at Newmarket.
Fairy Footsteps gave jockey Lester Piggot his 24tb British classic victory. The former champion returned to race riding with a win, the two-year-old, on Crimson Court on WednesI day.
