Giltrap expands
Mr C. J. Giltrap, of Auckland, has extended his motor business interests by the purchase of the Taka’puna and Stanley Street branches of Tappenden Motors, Ltd. The consideration has not been disclosed. Mr Giltrap said he planned to open a further branch in Great North Road, Auckland, and expected to become the largest General Motors dealer in New Zealand. His motor business interests already included Westbay Motor Company, of Tauranga, Giltrap Mazda and Gulf Mazda of Auckland, and Wellington companies which held Datsun, Mazda, General Motors, Volkswagen, and Fiat franchises.
