Riccarton to school over a ; round of hurdles with Sellana. which did his early racing from the Invercargill stable of Ray Pankhurst. Sellana finished with a slight lead, but Highborn got through his task competently. Risky Step followed Sellana and Highborn for the round then was taken on for a second, and kept up a competent standard of jump, ing to the end. One of few gallops of anv interest came from Hi Roona. which will race at Westport. He ran 600 m on the plough in 36.6.
