University Vacancies THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC LECTURESHIP IN BIOLOGY (Post 81/39) APPLICATIONS are invited ; for the post of Lecturer in Biology; Candidates can come from any area of Plant Biology, but preference may be given to those with interests in a field-orientated area of plant physiology or physiological ecology. A Phd and , teaching experience are required. The successful applicant will be expected to take up his appointment in February 1982. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications : and experience m the Lee- ■ turer scale: $F9169 - FSI2S32. In addition the University provides gratuity amounting to 15 per cent of basic salary, appointment allowance, partly furnished accommodation at 12 J per cent of salary. The University will pay an allowance in lieu of superannuation of 10 per cent of standard salary. In some cases this allowance may be paid directly to tlie appointee's existing superannuation scheme subject to decision on acceptability of the scheme by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue. Fiji.
