Licence bid succeeds
PA Wellington The Air Services Licensing Authority has granted licences to a Hamilton firm for a scheduled air service between Wellington and Palmerston North. Eagle Airways, a thirdlevel airline, plans to use a nine-seater Piper Chieftain, ’ charging $4l — the same as . Air New Zealand. ; The authority approved Eagle’s application in cham- ) bers after deciding that there i was no need for a public ' hearing. Eagle Airways’ managing director. Mr M. G. Campbell, said last evening that the service was likely to start on June 1.
