All prices are in kilograms otherwise stated. The prices have been taken from shops in north Christchurch. Retail prices surveyed yesterday do not necessarily reflect the prices at the markets because many shopowners’ will have bought produce earlier in the week and paid higher or lower prices. Cabbages, 49c to 90c. Cauliflowers, 49c to 99c. Brussels sprouts, 89c to $1.55. Carrots, 49c to 59c. Pumpkin, 29c to 59c.
Broccoli, 99c to $3.5c. Courgettes, $2.79 to $3.09. Leeks, 19c to 36c each. Kumara, $1.39 to $1.99. Capsicum, $1.48. Tomatoes, $1.38 to $2.59. Lettuce, 69c to 89c each. Celery, 39c to 89c bunch. Grapes, $7.90. Local grapes, $1.66. Kiwifruit, $2.71 to $3.79. Tamarillos, $1.50 to $1.79. Feijoas, $1.73 to $2.90. Pepinos, 79c to 89c each. Passionfruit, 18c and 19c each.
