Mooting finalist
Miss Tracy Dawson, a senior University of Canterbury law student, came second as an oralist in the international division of the P. C. Jessup Law Mooting Competition in Washington recently. ’ She 'was one of a twomember New Zealand team which attended the competition. The other member was Mr Benedict Kingsbury, also from the university. The pair did not reach the finals, but it was the first time a New Zealander had been so highly placed in the competition. Miss Dawson was the first woman representative from New Zealand to take part in the competition, which attracted entries from 24 countries. The final was between Singapore and Australia.
